I own, and fly, an MD-500D just like this. When I was younger my father decided to paint it similar to TC's, except we changed up the colours a bit. Instead of brown/yellow/orange, ours is painted torqoise/pink/orange (Miami colours).
It's sad that some of the most amazing things we created, were created out of war. Some people may be offended by the symbol on the tail. Just ignore it and enjoy the history.
When I was in the military, before the Cold War ended with the fall of the Berlin Wall, I was stationed in Alaska. We used to scramble F-15s to escort these "picture takers" out of our airspace. The air crews on both sides held no animosity towards each other. We were all just doing our jobs. I have old photos from my pilots of the Russian crews waving hello in the windows.
@carter84 The blip in town is where you buy it, not the ship itself.
Considering the other massive ship mods I've seen, this should've been made WAY bigger.
OMG it's massive!

This brings back memories of my childhood. Not the newer one from the 2000 BSG series.
I was a crew chief in Air Force. This was the 2nd aircraft I was assigned to. (1st was the F-4, last was the A-10)
Looks like it's about 1/4 scale. Should be WAY bigger.
Great, now I can't get the theme song out of my head. Thanks! LOL
