Great model and fun to drive, but there's an issue where the speedometer shows around 60 km/h even when the car is stopped. The tachometer also doesn't seem to be working properly.
@JdmImport This is a very nice mod, but there are a few issues with the Corolla DX. The gauges are completely broken — the speedometer shows RPM, and the tachometer shows speed. The car also feels generally sluggish. For example, the top speed is set to 138 km/h, but in reality, the 1.6L model (AE101) can reach around 170 km/h, and there's even a video on YouTube showing it hitting 176 km/h. Since the DX is a 1.8L model (AE102), it should be significantly faster than that. Also, the suspension looks a bit too tall.
The interior clock uses a VFD display, so the color should be more bluish to be accurate — and it should also glow at night.
Additionally, I checked the standalone mod as well, and the addon folder was empty (all the files were placed outside the folder).
Apart from that, in some of the limousines, parts of the interior (mainly the desk) are clipping through the floor, and there are visible gaps around the doors.
This is a really well-made mod — thank you for sharing it!
I just wanted to point out one small detail: the Mitsubishi FTO was originally a right-hand drive car, as it was primarily sold in Japan.
A small number were exported to countries like the UK, but they remained right-hand drive.
While there are a few left-hand drive FTOs out there, they are custom conversions done by individuals or tuning shops, as Mitsubishi never officially produced a left-hand drive version.
Interestingly, the FTO used in the JGTC (Japanese Grand Touring Championship) was also converted to left-hand drive — which might add to the confusion.
It seems that many games may have used the JGTC version as a reference, which could explain why the car is often shown as left-hand drive in virtual representations.
If you ever plan to update the mod, making it right-hand drive would make it even more authentic for the standard road car version.
Great work overall!
This mod is great and overall a well-made 3D model.
However, there is an issue where the brake calipers are fixed to the stock wheels, causing them to rotate along with the tires — which shouldn't happen.
Additionally, when you switch to custom wheels, the brake calipers disappear entirely.
If you're able to fix this yourself, I recommend doing so.
Otherwise, using moon disc-style wheels is a good workaround — they at least help to hide the fact that the calipers are missing.
Hi! First of all, thanks for the great mod — I really enjoyed it!
I noticed a very small thing while tweaking the handling.meta. The car felt a bit too fast, so I adjusted it myself.
While doing that, I saw the strModelFlags was set to 440010.
Since the real VW New Beetle has a different suspension setup and ABS, I think 140010 might be more accurate.
But when I tried changing it, I noticed the 3D model around the rear wheels started behaving a bit oddly.
Not a big issue at all — just thought I’d mention it in case it’s helpful!
