There is a mod called 3 man army which allows you to use all Sp characters in all Sp missions. This may allow you to make use of that mounted gun by switching between Sp characters while doing missions.

Just saying if you are having issues with Benny's and all you are trying to do is get the dlc vehicles in Sp. Then there are other options. (Vehicle spawner)
I use the vehicle spawner and check the spawned vehicles are persistant option in the settings menu. Then I can spawn the dlc vehicles by name in single player. Never had much luck with Benny's, sorry Benny.
I wanted to do this same thing with a c or truck body. I haven't figured it out yet. My hat is off to you Sir.
In addition to <fSuspensionRaise value="0.000000" /> what other handling perameters need to be adjusted for suspension flex and rebound?
If you want better handling, just find a supercar that is about the same size. Extract the handling.meta file with Openiv , open with notepad, replace your cars section with the supercars section. Or you can compare the two cars in the handling.meta and make adjustments to bump up it's hadling to a compromise between it's current state and that of the supercar.
